Köysi is a lightweight lounge chair designed for private use. It is based on a minimalist design principle, focusing on creating a stringent piece of furniture with a visible and easily understandable construction.
The contrast between the simple steel frame and a single piece hand-woven seat and back represents the essence of a timeless chair and creates an interesting effect. The raw and minimalist choice of material is a reference to the Finnish designer Yrjö Kukkapuro and the danish designer Poul Kjærholm, who is modernist and forward-looking in his expression.
